1. Introduction
Facet Technologies Inc.("Facet," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Facet platform, which provides AI-powered facial and body aesthetics analysis. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or submitting a photo for analysis, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name. We do not collect your password in plaintext — authentication is managed by Supabase using industry-standard hashing.
2.2 Facial & Body Photos (Biometric Data)
To perform an analysis you upload a photo of your face or body. This photo is stored securely in a private cloud storage bucket (Supabase Storage). Your photo is never made public and is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
In some jurisdictions (Illinois, Texas, Washington, and others), facial photos and derived measurements may be classified as biometric identifiers subject to special legal protections. By submitting a photo you expressly consent to Facet processing this data to provide the analysis Service. You may withdraw consent and request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
2.3 Analysis Results
We store the AI-generated analysis associated with each scan (module scores, observations, recommendations, and metrics). These results are linked to your account and the uploaded photo.
2.4 Payment Information
Payment is processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. Facet does not store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details. We receive and store a customer ID, subscription status, and transaction metadata from our payment processors to manage your subscription.
2.5 Usage Data
We may collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To process your uploaded photo through our AI analysis pipeline and return results to you
- To manage your subscription, process payments, and provide receipts
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, analysis complete, payment receipts)
- To respond to support requests
- To monitor and improve the accuracy and quality of our analysis models
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal data, use your photos for advertising targeting, or train publicly-released AI models on your images without separate explicit consent.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
Facet uses the following third-party sub-processors who may have access to your data solely to perform services on our behalf:

Each sub-processor is contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the specified purpose.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and analysis results for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos are retained to support future re-analysis features and to display your photo alongside results.
If you delete your account, all associated photos, analysis results, and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records retained for 7 years per tax regulations).
6. Cookies & Tracking
Facet uses only functional cookies necessary to maintain your login session (set by Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling cookies.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — receive your analysis results in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — for biometric data processing at any time
- Opt out — of any marketing communications

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to our Service, please contact us immediately at privacy@facet.ai and we will delete the information promptly.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted storage (AES-256 at rest), TLS in transit, row-level security on our database, private storage buckets with signed URL access, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Facet is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our sub-processors operate. By using the Service you consent to these transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
